Building Structures in Spanish

Structure 1

Welcome to Building Structures. In this course, you'll learn the first structure in Spanish, and you'll see how it's equivalent to a very simple jigsaw puzzle. All you have to do is connect the pieces together in the right order, and you have your very own sentence in Spanish.

Structure 2

The main component in Structure 2 is the present tense, so we spend the first part of this course learning about that. Then, just like before, we'll look at how to form sentences and questions with this structure, and focus on getting it to become a reflex that you can use without thinking.

Structure 3

Structure 3 is very similar to Structure 1, but it enables you to ask similar questions in the past rather than the present. We look at infinitive carriers in the past, and how to turn them into questions and non-questions, in the positive and negative.

Structure 4

In this fourth structure, we learn all about the present perfect tense, aka the past tense. We'll be learning all about this tense, how to form it, and how to turn questions into non-questions, and positives into negatives.

Structure 5

In this fifth structure, we're going to be learning a second past tense called the imperfect tense. This will allow us to talk about what was happening or what used to happen. As always, all the lessons have been broken down into three-minute chunks, to help you fit in a daily lesson without it eating into your schedule.

Structure 6

Welcome to Structure 6 of the Building Structures in Spanish series. In this course, we're looking back at structures 1 and 3, but this time, we're putting the infinitive carriers into something called the conditional. We'll be able to ask questions used "could", "should" and "would like".

Structure 7

In Structure 7, we're looking again at the conditional mood, but this time, we're using it with all verbs, rather than just infinitive carriers. You'll be able to talk about what would happen with this structure, and again, we'll look at questions and non-questions in the positive and negative.
